Ollionton Airport is a small airport located in Ollionton. It mainly serves the city, as well as some surrounding towns, such as Teatrea and Georgia.
History
The Ollionton Airport was built around mid-2023, following a spike of Tourism for the city of Ollionton. During the POWM (Purge of Western Modenshia), A famous Olive Tree was cut down in Ollionton, promting many to visit to grieve it's loss. Unlike Manicia, Ollionton kept in a good condition after the POWM, and actually benefitted the city by opening up new neighbourhoods that were previously covered by bush, such as Anderson. The airport was the first airport to be 'Paved' in Modenshia, which promted the PAMP (Paved Airports of Modenshia Project) to start, with 4 airports bieng paved in total. The airport was built by none other than King Alexander by hand. He plucked the area from weeds and clovers, before using some spare planks for a runway and apron.
The Airport was later featured as a drone launchsite in Christmas 2024. Chris, Duke of Magrathea, launched the drone for a project of capturing high-quality "satelite" imagery of Modenshia. Afterwards, he famously participated in an argument with Teresa, one of King Alexander's old land lords, who had found them randomly and started complaining about the presence of the Republic of Pantonia in the local area.
