but for inline usage: indicates that the material immediately preceding this tag may be overly jargonistic, and too technical for the typical readers. Please improve the text by making it more accessible to more readers (who should not have to be experts already in order to understand our material).
To use the template, enter this after the jargon-laden passage:

This template should be used with a date parameter that records when the tag was added in the format "Month YYYY" as displayed above. If no date is added manually, a bot will automatically fill in the gap.
