Not to be confused with Opinesta(Oustara City), Opinesta is a geographical area, located in western Berthia and northern Mosslyn. The area is made up of 2 counties, Northern Opinesta and Southern Opinesta.
History
In the late Gardanzonian Era and early Pantonian times, The area was split between Manicia in the north and Swampington in the south. After the War of Frankiesville, Swampington claimed most states of Frankiesville except for the centre, and also claimed Southern Opinesta which was unclaimed at the time. People still dont why they claimed it becausfe it was so far away from the rest of their territory and geographically separated away quite a bit. Around the beggining of 2023, the region of Southern opinesta was given to Mosslyn.
Geography
Opinesta is situated inbetween Mosslyn and Berthia. The north is quite empty, the biggest settlement Maneca, and is half outside and half inside the actual Opinesta geographical region. The south region is more populated, containing towns such as Toulda, Grelson, and Idera. The geographical region is mostly sepperated on both sides by lines of vegetation, much like the rest of Modenshia.
Culture
The culture in the north is much similar to the rest of Berthian culture, and is of spanish influence. The south is more split, having an Irish like culture.
