This is a documentation subpage for Template:Unreferenced category.

Description

This template is intended to allow calls for citations for article categories, without repeating the claim implied by the category in the article text with a citation needed tag.

It will categorise tagged articles into Category:Articles with uncited categories.

Usage

{{Unreferenced category|biography of a living person|cat1=People|cat2=Films directed by Woody Allen|date=October 2024}} produces:

This biography of a living person contains unreferenced categories (Category:People and Category:Films directed by Woody Allen). Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. Unsourced categories may be challenged and removed. (October 2024) (Learn how and when to remove this message)
