Usage
You may append a date to the template in the following format, though this is unnecessary and will be performed by a maintenance bot on your behalf soon after you save the article containing this template:
{{From whom?|date=November 2024}}
When to use
This tag is for placement after mention of an ambiguous but important reference to a person or persons who are an origin or source of something, e.g, "On 12 July 2018 the Committee received a formal warning not to proceed." If the origin is obvious from the text, consider removing the passive voice and making it active: "On 12 July 2018 the Governor issued a formal warning to the Committee not to proceed."
Alternatives
- Extremely vague statements ("The plan enjoyed broad support") should normally be removed.
