{{Religious text primary}} is a template used to identify articles that uncritically use texts from within a religion or faith system without referring to reliable secondary sources that critically analyze them. Primary sources do not meet Wikipedia's requirements for reliable sources, and such content may violate Wikipedia's core content policies regarding No original research and Neutral point of view. Additionally, lack of reliable secondary sources that critically analyze primary texts may indicate lack of notability.
This {{Religious text primary}} template can be copy-pasted to the very top of the page/article, where it will produce a banner like the one at the top of this template page.
Usage
This template says that an article uses primary source documents from a religion or religious text, and it needs more reliable secondary sources.
