This template is a self-reference and so is part of the Wikipedia project rather than the encyclopedic content.

Usage

• This template should be used on a single word or phrase that requires transcription into the International Phonetic Alphabet. It has an optional language parameter. Directly after the word or phrase, use either:

{{needs IPA}} 

or

{{needs IPA|<language>}}

• Use of this template automatically adds page to Category:Articles needing IPA.

Examples

• Glauxkenfruble{{needs IPA}} produces: Glauxkenfruble
• Glauxkenfruble{{needs IPA|Lithuanian}} produces: Glauxkenfruble
