Marie Hester was the wife of Anton Hester, the son of Carl Hester, the founder of Hesterfeld. She originally came from a small village called Heddinghausen, in HochSauerland, although the village is on the border with Waldeck-Frankenberg Kreis in Kassel. At one point she moved to Paderborn and married Anton Hester, and they had 6 children together.[1]
During any of the world wars, the Hester family may have stayed with her family in Heddinghausen while Hesterfeld was rebuilt.[citation needed]
